Tending the Self: Mapping Circles of Support during Postpartum Recovery

This session invites mothers to reconnect with their bodies, hearts, and rhythms after birth. Through gentle reflection, discussion, and resource sharing, participants explore, envision, and plan their postpartum support systems. We’ll begin with a grounding practice to orient how we meet the postpartum window: explore how our culture frames this period of time, and what it means to slow down and receive the care we really need.

Together, we’ll map out a postpartum support team, identifying where rest, nourishment, connection, and practical help can come from. Dr. Connie Guille will join us to discuss the practical resources and research available at MUSC and beyond.

By the end of this workshop, participants will identify their primary personal needs for recovery during their postpartum window and  out a practical postpartum support team filled with personal, professional, and community resources. Register here.
